Why sour make your heart palpitation?

Several ways: Looks like no one wants to answer this. Reflux of acid from the stomach to the esophagus can cause a sour taste in your mouth. The esophagus passes along the back of the heart so that if it gets irritated it can affect the heart beat. Residents i work with did a study showing EKG changes if cold water is swallowed. There are other possible mechanisms for palpitations as well.
