Fear: Many men are afraid they will bump or hurt the baby. They may also believe the baby can "see" the penis. Reassure your partner that the baby is safe and protected in the uterus and will not be injured in any way. Sex is dangerous for certain complications of pregnancy, but your doctor will inform you if pelvic rest (no sex) is required.
