Like : Like any other injection, the injection of Dysport can cause bruising. This substance does not promote bruising, but it does not prevent it either. Holding off on any medications, holistic and otherwise, that have anticoagulation properties is the best thing you can do as a patient. Be healthy and be well, james m. Ridgway, md.

Any : Any kind of a needle stick can you leave you bruised, however there is less of a chance of a bruise with Dysport or Botox because the needles used are some of the smallest. Good luck from nyc. For more info visit www.Drgrossman.Com.

Dysport & bruising: Dysport itself does not cause bruising. The act of injecting may lead to bruising. To reduce bruising risk, avoid use of nsaid's including Ibuprofen and Aspirin as well as vitamins and supplements such as vitamin e, fish oil, garlic, ginko and ginger 7 to 10 days prior to your injections. Tell your doctor of all medications, vitamins and supplements that you are taking. Some find arnica helpful.

Bruising and Dysport: Depending on the depth and extent of bruising it can take a few weeks or even more to disappear. A history of easy bruising, high blood pressure, post op nausea and vomiting, and taking supplements, nsaid;s and certain antioxidants will make bruising more likely, arnica pills and topical gel might help as well as camouflage makeup. Most of my patients have little or no bruising to speak of.

It can: Dysport, just like any injection, can cause some bruising. Some areas are more prone to bruising than others (ex crow's feet) and some people are more prone to bruises. You can take oral arnica before for a few days, ice prior to and after the injection, use topical and/or oral arnica afterwards, avoid taking aspiring/motrin/etc for a few days before, avoid excessive alcohol intake as well.
