You : You may have had a reaction to the adhesives in the band-aid. You can try a steroid cream. You should never use this on the face for a prolonged period and many feel that any use on the face should be followed by a doctor. It will likely go away on its own.

If : If the red mark is limited to the site of the scratch this will resolve with time. Do not get any sun exposure on this wound, which can cause pigment changes, for at least 6 weeks. If the redness is present where the bandaid adhesive was in contact with the skin this is probably an allergic reaction which can be treated with a topical steroid cream. Ask your physician or pharmacist for recommendations.
