It : It is possible you are suffering from premenstrual dysphoric disorder. Your gynecologist will be able to obtain a more detailed history and timeline of your symptoms so as to make the diagnosis. There are treatment options available. One being birth control, another being anti-depressants which are taken half the month. For this your gyn may want you to see a psychiatrist. Possibly: Your description sounds like PMDD is possible. However, there are other menstrual & endocrine conditions that could also cause these symptoms, but require different treatment. I would speak with your gynecologist or primary care doc about your symptoms. Keeping a mood diary for a month or two, documenting when you have your symptoms and your period, would also help get the right diagnosis
