Usually : Usually any side effects from a birth control pill will resolve in about 3 months. However if the unwanted side effect persists after 3 months then it is likely not going to go away. Acne that appears as "mini boils" is worrisome. Visit your family doctor or dermatologist for an evaluation of these boils. You may be dealing with an infectious process versus an acne issue. Best of luck.

Bad acne: Acne of the nature that you are describing can really be a serious issue. It can scar your face and effect your appearance in the future. I recommend that you discuss your diet and skin care with your primary doctor and possibly with a dermatologist so that they can get to the cause of your particular acne problem and get control of it.
