There : There has been much debate over this topic. Some doctors tell their patients to use a back-up method while on antibiotics, while others do not. Personally I do not advise my patient to use a back up while taking antibiotics, for me there is not enough scientific literature out there supporting any effect. If you suspect you may be pregnant (miss your next cycle) then obviously take a pregnancy test, but i suspect you are fine. Take care.
