Hello. : Hello. Dr kirk gave an excellent response. To diagnose chlamydia either the urine can be checked for bacteria or the male's urerthra of the female's cervix is swabbed and the obtained sample is anaylzed at a lab.

You : You should be treated if your sexual partner has the infection. As many as 75% of women have no symptoms. You can also check for the infection from the cervix, on a pap smear and even from your urine. Make sure your partner was treated also and retest both of you after 2 weeks.
