Please : Please be sure you have had cultures taken to be sure there isn't an infection. It certainly sounds like an infection. Please have your doctor see you again and check your urine and have cultures taken to rule out infection. This is especially important when you are so far along with your pregnancy. If you had pain, leaking, or fever then you need to be seen as an emergency.

Bacterial vaginosis?: The main cause of strong vaginal odor is bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria. It's good you were tested for STDs; some are more common in BV. Also ask your Ob if you had a DNA test for trichomonas, an STD that causes similar odor as BV. Also ask about treatment: having BV isn't necessarily harmful in pregnancy, but may increase risk of uterine infection after delivery.
