I : I hope this issue has been resolved by now. For the future or for anyone reading this post whenever your child "screams horribly" and has persistent bleeding, especially from the genitals, a medical evaluation is in order. A visit to the urgent care or er is appropriate. At minimum a hymen tear is likely, which is not an emergency, however a more serious injury like a vaginal or urethral tear needs to be ruled out. If these are found a minor surgical procedure may be in order. I hope your daughter is better. Take care.

Urgent care: Please be seen right away. There may be trauma to the area and a Pediatric urgent care center may be able to further guide therapy.
