Synthroid (thyroxine) : Synthroid (thyroxine) is a medication taken to replace thyroid hormone and is often taken in the morning. Since certain medications and foods can interfere with absorption of synthroid, (thyroxine) it is recommended that you take this medication on an empty stomach 30-60 minutes before any meals, or at least 3 hours after a meal. Primal defense is a probiotic dietary supplement that contain bacterial isolates that putatively help to restore normal bacterial flora in the gastrointestinal tract. As it is unclear what symptoms you are having that you wish to take this probiotic, i can only guess that you are having frequent bowel movements. There are several reasons that this can occur, a thorough evaluation of your diet, restriction of lactose containing foods (diary), certain beans that contain difficult to digest sugars, and evaluation of fiber intake should be done with a nutritionist. Also you may have other reasons to have frequent stools, for example chronic pancreatitis and resultant pancreatic insufficiency, blind loop syndrome after some surgical procedures. You may wish to consult a gastroenterologist for further medical evaluation.
