Menstrual : Menstrual changes, such as what you described in your post, are fairly common in women at any point in their reproductive years. If you missed any pills, or were late taking them, this could also be a possibility. Also consider taking a pregnancy test even though the odds of this are less than 1% if you take your pills as directed. Other causes of abnormal periods are increased stress/anxiety, extreme weight fluctuations, hormonal imbalances (including thyroid disorders). If the bleeding persists, or your cycles do not normalize over the next three packs of pills contact your doctor. Take care.
