I have gotten my period twice in one month for the past two months and i am on birth control why is this happening? i am on loestrin 24 and have been over a little over a year. i never really had problems before.

This : This is not an uncommon occurrence while on birth control. Are you taking it around the same time every day? Did you miss any pills or were late taking any pills? If so this could be the reason. There is also the possibility that you are having some hormonal fluctuations which could be resulting in the second period. If this problem persists your doctor may consider putting you on a different pill with a different hormonal make up. Also to be safe check a pregnancy test. If you took the pill as directed then the odds of pregnancy are very low. Less that 1%. Take care.
