Can radiation therapy fix my overactive thyroid gland?

Yes: It is called radioactive iodine (i131). Another way to treat this is with thyroid suppression medication and surgery.

Yes: In the form of radioactive iodine 131 radiation is given by a one time capsule that targets the thyroid. This may overkill the gland and one then needs replacement medicine but at least the dose can be adjusted.
