A member asked:

Are there effective naturopathic alternatives for radiation therapy?

11 doctors weighed in across 4 answers

No: There is no other natural process that can cause the same effect of radiation to kill cancer cells. However, these methods can be complimentary to treating a patient. Its very important to have positive attitudes, exercise, eat well (nutrition and healthy food), spiritual belief, and monitor environmental exposures (don't smoke or drink). Regarding herbs and supplements check with your doctor.

None: Radiotherapy is designed to be lethal to malignant cells as part of the treatment course for cancer. There are no naturopathic alternatives to this. Your oncologist should be directing your pathway. A naturopath might be able to provide some emotional support but has no effective remedies for this disease.
