It : It would be safe to start on birth control tablets and postpone your period. Please first take a pregnancy test to be sure that you aren't pregnant, and then it would be safe to start the pill. In addition, there are pills now where you never have a period and that is safe and does not cause harm. Please ask your provider's advice for type of pill.
