It : It is very important that you tell these symtpoms to your surgeon so that they can re-evaluate you. You have tried standard treatment with stool softeners/fiber pills and are having bowel movements, so i don't think constipation is likely especially as you are having bowel movements. Please call your doctor. If you have pain, fever, or vomiting then you must be seen as an emergency.

Constipation: The surgery itself wouldn't directly cause bloating and discomfort, but if have been taking pain medication, you might be constipated from that. I would suggest milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) because multiple doses in a day are safe to alleviate constipation. If you feel like you need to go but you can't, this May be what you are dealing with
