First : First trimester ultrasounds are accurate to within a few days. They are more accurate than an estimate based on your last period, especially if you aren't sure when that period was.

They may: be more accurate than ultrasounds later on in the pregnancy, but in general the error margin for estimated gestational age is about 8% throughout.
