There : There are a lot of reasons for a late or skipped period, but if you've been sexually active then pregnancy is probably at the top of the list. This is true whether or not you used protection, and whether or not you partner ejaculated. Pregnancy tests are more likely to be positive as the pregnancy progresses; it's possible that you're pregnant but that you simply tested too soon. Wait a few days and try again. In the meanwhile, assume you are pregnant: don't drink alcohol or smoke, and start taking prenatal vitamins.
