When : When you read about sex in women's magazines or watch television programs or movies depicting erotic scenes, it gives the impression that all women have orgasms and that the woman and her partner climax at the same time. If the average woman uses this as a benchmark to determine her sexual adequacy it would be similar to the average woman comparing her body to the slender models found in bathing suit ads. Frankly, many women do not achieve orgasm and those that do, usually don't experience it simultaneously with their partner. The skill set of one's sexual partner can impact a woman's ability to climax. Some women require more foreplay or may need to to provide their partner input about what feels stimulating to them. I would try not to place the focus on whether or not you are achieving an orgasm, but rather; are you able to you able to find your sexual experiences enjoyable. If you are uncomfortable with sexuality activity in general, that merits further exploration, possibly with a therapist.

Plenty : Plenty of women have irregular periods. Plenty of women don't have orgasms. The periods and lack of orgasms are not likely to be related, but you should have an ob/gyn exam. That should also be the first step to working out the lack of orgasms. Mention it to the doctor, and ask if there are any physical anomalies that could be interfering with your ability to have pleasurable sex. If not, i would recommend that you see a therapist to discuss whether there may be psychological issues getting in the way.
