There are various causes for this - some are quite benign (bppv) and are easily treated with prescription medication. Some causes are more concerning. You should contact your doctor or an ear, nose and throat specialist for an evaluation. If you are experiencing double vision, headache, weakness, slurred speech, or difficulty controlling your arms and legs, you should go to the emergency room.
