There : There are several possibilities which include acanthosis nigricans, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or an inflammatory condition such as intertrigo, psoriasis, eczema, or fungal infection. Difficult to answer without a picture. I would recommend you consider seeing a dermatologist for a careful evaluation to arrive at a diagnosis. I hope that helps.
