I have psoriasis, can i get laser hair removal? i have dermatitis and psoriasis in certain areas of my body. can i get laser hair removal in areas of my body that aren't affected by dermatitis and psoriasis?

Yes. : Yes. Laser hair removal uses a laser that targets the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle so it won't affect the psoriasis. However, it can be a little irritating to have performed so conceivably could cause a little bit of flare of your dermatitis or psoriasis, although that is probably not likely. Btw, there is a device called an excimer laser that targets psoriasis. It releases a narrowband uvb to the psoriatic plaques.

Don't treat effected: As long as you do not treat the effected areas, I do not see psoriasis or dermatitis as a contra-indication.
