Only if: If the milk drinking is excessive to the point that someone becomes obese and already insulin-resistant, then one could say that the excessive caloric intake from the milk is part of the problem in that it is contributing to weight gain. By itself, excessive milk drinking may not cause type 2 diabetes, but it can cause other problems.
