No: Moyamoya disease does not have a cure, though there are some measures to prevent stroke that may slow disease progression and improve quality of life.

No: The etiology of moyamoya is not understood and therefore no, there is no cure. The consequences of the disease can be mitigated by an extra-intracranial bypass which will allow for enough blood flow into the brain to avoid a major stroke. Gary steinberg at stanford is the national expert for this disease.
