According : According to drugs.Com (see below) Hydroxyzine and Celexa (citalopram) can have a moderate interaction in some people affecting their mental alertness and motor coordination. Patients should not partake in activities (such as driving) that require mental alertness and motor coordination until they know how this combination of medicines will affect them. Not everyone has trouble with these medications. Hydroxyzine and Celexa are not contraindicated together, but the patient and doctor should be aware of any changes in mental status and consider discontinuing one of the medications if it happens.

Med Safety: They can be taken together although the Hydroxyzine is a sedating antihistamine and can cause some mood changes. Celexa (citalopram) is a different class known as the ssri anti-depressant family. If concerned, ultimately call your prescribing doctor.
