Whenever : Whenever you forget to take pills, especially if it"s more than 2-3 days, you will spot; this is considered withdrawal bleeding (your uterus sheds due to lack of hormones). This is not considered a period. Your last period is considered to be the period that you had when you finished last months pack. Now that you have disrupted your cycle by stopping the pills before the end of the pack, your cycle will be off. However you can take an early prediction pregnancy test about ten days after you had sex in order to predict pregnancy. Otherwise be patient in waiting for your next regular cycle as it may be off as i previously stated. Good luck.

Many causes: Irregular periods when you're not taking the pill have different causes than irregular bleeding when you're taking the pill. If you are trying to get pregnant and are having irregular periods, see your doctor. If you having irregular bleeding on the pill, there can be different causes, but the most common one is missing pills. See your doctor either way.
