In : In short, the only way to know what is the cause of this dischargeis for your husband to schedule an appointment with his primary care provider. After a history and physical exam the doctor will be able to determine if an std is likely the cause, if so testing will be done. Another problem this could be is a urinary tract infection (UTI) or a prostate infection (prostatitis), both of which are not std's. Once your husband is evaluated a diagnosis can be made, and treatment started if necessary.

Prostate fluid: This is common in many men and not usually abnormal. Straining for BMs and stool passing over the prostate gland and seminal vesicles can squeeze out normal prostate fluids or semen. Usually not due to STDm or any other infection. If it only happens occasionally, it's nothing to worry about. If frequent or he is concerned about it, he could see a urologist for a reassuring evaluation.
