Missing : Missing your period, otherwise known as amenorrhea is a common issue with many women at any given point in time. This can happen to anyone regardless if they have had sex or not. Since you have had regular periods in the past, what you are experiencing is secondary amenorrhea. Common causes of secondary amenorrhea other than pregnancy, would be fluctuation in weight, either increase or decrease, stress and/or anxiety, hormonal changes due to birh control pills or injections, certain medications such as antidepressants, strenuous exercise like prolonged running, and more worrisome would be a problem with your thyroid gland. If your period does not resume in the next two months you should schedule an appointment with your primary care provider or gynecology for a complete work up.
