Call : Call your doctor right away. As you are in your third trimester of pregnancy, you need to call your doctor so that he/she can determine if you need to be further assessed. Headaches are common during pregnancy and can be attributed to hormonal changes, lack of sleep, stress, dehydration and women who were previously succeptible to tension headaches or migraines can experience worsened symtpoms. In the second or third trimester, it is important to have severe headaches assessed to assess for preeclamsia, a serious pregnancy induced condition that is characterized by headache, protein in the urine, high blood pressure and can induce siezure. Also, call your doctor if your headache is combined with blurred vision, sharp abdominal pain, sudden weight gain adn swelling. You'll need to be assessed right away.

Contact your OB MD: You need to call or contact your OB MD immediately who is providing your prenatal care. The headache could be a sign that your blood pressure is elevated.(pregnancy induced hypertension).
