9-18 months: From your spoon to her spoon: You can help your baby extend her interest in spoon foods while she is learning finger foods by 1) giving her a small spoon of her own; 2) Alternating bites (she feeds herself and then a separate spoon you are holding; 3) Putting some food on the spoon for her - so she can get to the good part fast. Learning a spoon may take months, but looking back it will seem quick.

12-15 months: This is a good age to just start putting a spoon in your toddler's hand during a meal, he will get most of his feeding in with his hand, bang around a lot, then usually around 18 month's they'll start self feeding a bit with it. This is a really great time with your baby watching them explore and learn about themselves and the world!

Hold a double-handled, open mouth cup for him to drink water ~ 10 mos.; ~ 12 mos. when weaning from a bottle, he can hold the cup,& drink with lip closure, a maximum of 16-21 oz./day of whole milk + milk products/day.
