Is there an age range when bladder cancer is most common?

Over 50 years old: Bladder cancer is generally found in patients older than 50 years of age. Before then, it can be present but is more unlikely. However, most patients are diagnosed in their mid-60's or older.

In the US...: ...The most common bladder cancer is urothelial (transitional cell). It is most common in white men in their late 60's, especially smokers. Not to say it cannot happen in other groups. Often presents with bleeding so any unexplained urinary bleeding, especially after 40-50 should be promptly evaluated.
