It : It is important to realize that Botox is not a permanent. I generally takes about 4 days for its effects to take action. It lasts for approximately 4 months. There is a competitor now, called Dysport whose course of action is nearly immediate. But in my experience, neither product is clearly superior.

Thank : Thank you for your question. Botox typically last 3-4 months after treatment for facial wrinkles. Some patients are lucky where the results last much longer. Only after a comprehensive evaluation can a Botox specialist help determine appropriate options for you. Best of luck. Dr. Chaboki.

Botox : Botox (and other similar products like dysport) works in a unique way by relaxing hyperactive muscles of expression, so for certain areas like the furrows between the eyebrows it is often the best option. Because of the way it works, the effect lasts about 3-4 months, and there are no longer-acting products in that class.

About 12 weeks: The muscle-weakening effect of Botulinum toxins usually lasts about 12 weeks. The procedure can be repeated after the effect wears off. Weather used for cosmetic purposes or to treat abnormally tight muscles it is not permanent.

3 Months: The treatment effect from Botox typically lasts approximately 3 months before returning to the pre-treatment state. This is usually both a positive and a negative. It is positive because the reversibility ensures a measure of safety if the problem is overtreated. It can be frustrating, however, because of the need for repeated treatments.

4-6 months: 4-6 months. In some patients, after many injections the intervals space out longer. On the other hand. in some patients the botox becomes less effective over time.

Make Botox Last: If you like the effect of Botox, it is possible to make it last longer. Since Botox weakens muscle, if you are treated again before the muscle has a chance to completely recover, the next injection will last a little longer. If you keep doing this, the muscle will wither (atrophy). As the muscle atrophies, some patients can go 6-8 months between treatments with excellent control!

Botox length: Hi Thanks for the question. Botox typically lasts about 3-4 months in most patients depending on the area treated and amount of Units used. Botox is not permanent. People who use it regularly will usually start to require less botox and need it less frequently.

Botox: Botox is not permanent. It acts to smooth out forehead lines and wrinkles. Micro-Botox, is minute droplets of Botox placed in the neck or forehead skin to create a luxurious texture. Although Botox lasts 3 1/2 - 4 months on average the muscles of the forehead can be trained with repeated Botox usage allowing the smoothness to last even longer.
