Sometimes : Sometimes headaches associated with pregnancy can be due to some unusual and potentially dangerous things. But the fact that you have had headaches for 6 months makes these things less likely. The important thing to know is if these headaches are new. If, for instance, you never had headaches before, but now have them all the time, this is very concerning. If you have always had problems with headaches, but they are just worse now, then I am not as concerned. But clearly something is wrong. There are many possibilities, so i cannot tell you what they are and how to stop them. But i can say that if you need to take pain medicine more than two days every week, you should definitely see a doctor. There are some things that need to be ruled out, which will depend on the specific details of your headache history. And even if there is nothing serious going on, you are going to get yourself into rebound headaches, if you haven't already. In other words, don't just keep taking tylenol/advil/aspirin --see a doctor about it.
