First : First off, don't watch so much tv and chew your food well! but seriously, if you live alone and are not in good health, look into a "life alert" bracelet, and have 911 on speed dial. There is a "self induced" heimlich maneuver, that goes as follows: make a fist, place the thumb below your rib cage and above your navel. Grasp your fist with your other hand. Press it into the area with a quick upward movement. You can also use the back of a chair instead of a fist. Make sure you are really choking if you use one of these maneuvers though, if you can speak or cough well, you should dial 911 first!

Yes: The common way is to thrust your upper abdomen on top of the chair. By striking the top of the chair as in a heimleich maneuver you have an upward thrust that would push out the food. Keys dont panic and prevent this by chewing properly and steadily.
