Withdrawel bleeding: When you are on an estrogen and/or a progestin containing pill, the hormones prevent bleeding from the uterus. Stopping these hormones usually cause bleeding even if you are in the middle of a pill package. To prevent this take your pills as directed, and use protection if you have missed more than one pill. To be safe, for the remaining time of this pack and 3w eeks into next pack.
