Possibly: Nightmares can occur for many possible reasons, but stress is certainly one possible cause.

Nightmares: Any time we have stressful experiences we are likely to have dreams about them. It is not the dream content that is important though, it is how we react to the dreams. There is no scientific validity to the theories of dream interpretation. Dreamwork occurs at the cellular level not at the thinking level.
