Yes.: There are many medical conditions that can cause temporary blindness. These can include blockage of the arteries in the eyes, or strokes in the area of the brain that interpret vision (the occipital lobes). It is also possible for temporary blindness to be caused by psychological conditions, such as severe stress (functional blindness).
