Enalapril: Enalapril is notorious for causing cough in about 10% of people taking it. Losartan doesn't cause cough. There is another cause. You and your doctor must search for it.

Cough and meds: Enalapril and other ace inhibitors can cause cough in about 10% of people who take them. Typically, meds like Diovan (valsartan) and losartan are used instead in those patients. These medications can also cause cough though much less frequently. Another cause for your cough should be investigated as it could be a symptom of a more serious illness such as heart failure or cancer.

Cough and Meds: Cough is a frequent side effect of drugs like Enalapril (e). The way to see if it is causing it is to stop it. If the cough is present after 2 days, it is likely not a cough related to e-type drugs. If you have a cough after e and losartan are stopped, discuss with your doctor the possibility of having another source of cough. Gerd is on possibility. All coughs are not due to e-like drugs.
