Why do i only see my floater outside but not inside?

See below: A floater should be checked out with a dilated retinal eye exam to rule out a serious problem. You may only notice the floater outside where brighter light conditions cause more noticeable contrast to perceive the floater that is always there.

Bright background: High contrast and a bright background such as the sky accentuate floaters. Less light, less perception of floaters.
