Eye inflammation: Iritis is an internal inflammation of the eye (also called uveitis) in which a sterile inflammaion is set up. It sometimes is associated with systemic disease like ankylosing spondylitis. An attack can be dangerous, can cause internal damage and glaucoma. Depends: On the cause. If there is an underlying disease then this needs to be treated, whether it is infectious or non infectious (inflammatory). Different anti-inflammatory medicines (eye drops, oral medications, injections, or infusions) are commonly employed. Ask your eye doctor.
