Why am i having light bleeding 10 days after my period finished. im not on birth control.?

Midcycle bleeding: This is not that unusual. Lots of women have bleeding in the middle of their cycle. If you could have been exposed to an std you should be checked, because certain infections can make your cervix bleed. You should also be checked if this persists. If it just happens once in a while, i wouldn't worry too much though.

Several causes: Maybe some of my colleagues can help me out here, but one reason might be that your birth control pill is not ideally suited to your hormone levels. Some of the new low estrogen birth control pills don't work well for everyone. I would recommend you use condoms when having sex for now until you can get an appointment (or phone call) with your ob/gyn doctor. Comments welcome.

Very common: After your period some blood remains in the back of the vagina and then slowly comes out. Consider starting birth control to decrease the length of your cycles.
