It's in the wording: A woman actually gets pregnant when she conceives (july 19 in this case). However, since nobody knows when she conceives unless she is doing an ivf (in vitro) pregnancy, we doctors count the weeks of pregnancy (weeks of gestation) from the start of the last menstrual period (the lmp). If one wants to count from the presumed conception day, just count back 2 weeks (july 5 starts "gestation").
