Fracture: The numbness can last from weeks to months, depending on how long the nerve takes to regrow. We usually allow a year for the nerve sensation to return.

Infra orbital nerve: Orbital floor fractures can damage the infra orbital nerve that travels in the orbital floor. Depending on how much trauma the nerve sufferers will determine whether it will resume function. If no sensation returns after a few months unlikely it ever will
