Not very effectively: The rhythm method has been used for many centuries. It is not very effective. The women who practice it are often called "momma"! there are other barrier methods with less than 100% protection. Condoms not only prevent pregnancy, but also prevent sexually transmitted dieases. Please read all you can about birth control to prevent undesired pregnancies.
