Maybe: The uterus changes throughout pregnancy. A fibroid may appear as a 'thick' uterine wall, though they are usually distinct on ultrasound. A contraction will also make the uterine mall appear thicker. Later in pregnancy the lower uterine walls may appear thinner. You may want to ask your provider to clarify what was described as thick.
