Soma (carisoprodol): Soma (carisoprodol) is an effective muscle relaxant (or anti-spasmodic) for muscle pain and spasms. It is not a narcotic, but does have some habit-forming qualities. To taper down safely, i would recommend titrating the total mg dose down every two weeks by 1/2 the dose. Do not change the frequency of dosing initially if possible.

See your doctor: The detox period can last several weeks due to the need to taper off use of the drug, slowly lowering Soma (carisoprodol) doses until the dosage level reaches zero. However, tapering is recommended ONLY under a physicians guidance. Ask your doctor for more information and help.
