Beats me: Other than it being considered a noxious weed, i found nothing to indicate that it has any toxicity. If you are having irritation, itching, pain or discharge from the area, you should seek medical attention if it is severe or persistent. If you aren't, i don't think i would worry about it. If there is mild irritation, i would just keep the area clean with soap and water, and calomine lotion.

Scotch Broom: That must have been a very uncomfortable situation you were in. If you're sensitive to this plant, you might get a dermatitis from using it to clean yourself externally. Otherwise you will probably be okay. Make sure to clean off with a shower, and be gentle wiping for awhile. Scotch broom has some poisonous alkaloids which can be a problem if taken internally -- but you didn't do that.
