Colgate total: My hygienest swears by it. The longer you can keep the whitening agent on your teeth the better. Whitestrips are effective as well.

Any brand: The reality is that no over the counter toothpaste will whiten your teeth but that improper hygiene or inadequate brushing will promote your teeth getting darker. To whiten one's teeth, a professional bleaching agent applied either in the office by your dentist or used at home with a custom fabricated tray are the only methods that have shown to whiten teeth.

Most do very little: Most toothpastes do very little to whiten teeth. It is best use tooth whitening products.Like strips or gels with fitted trays

Better methods: If you truly want your teeth whiter, ask your dentist which method is best for you. I recommend my patients use custom fitted trays with bleaching gels. It's very effective, reasonably priced and they have the trays to reuse at a later time. Some patients are happy with crest whitestrips although they have some limitations. Whitening toothpastes only remove stains effectively.
