Not a problem: Walking is usually good for everybody. It keeps blood flowing and you can help prevent clots. Varicose veins are usually not affected. If you develop pain in your legs with walking, you should see a vascular specialist.

Yes: Walking can help with symptoms of varicose veins. The worst thing you can do is stand without walking. We see this a lot with hair dressers, barbers, nurses and even pharmacists.

Exercise is good: Generally, walking is very good for you and your vein health. It helps blood to circulate, reduces venous hypertension, decreases swelling, and helps any discomfort you might have because of your veins. If, with vigorous exercise though, you have worsening discomfort in your legs and/or you have to quit exercising because of discomfort, you should see a vein specialist for an evaluation.

Walking and VV: Walking is good for varicose veins because it increases the muscle contraction of the calf muscles which will then compress the veins and increase the venous return to the heart as well as decrease the venous pressure in the legs . Increased venous pressure in the legs leads to venous hypertension which affects the vein valves and can lead to varicose vein formation.
